At the end of 2025, the Digital Shrikes took a bold step into the creative spotlight by entering the WEZ Wildlife Photography Competition.
What began as a simple submission soon grew into a proud moment when their photographs were on public display at the Bulawayo Natural History Museum.
On Saturday, 24 January, the girls attended the prize-giving ceremony, standing among seasoned photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. Their presence was quiet yet powerful — a reminder that courage, creativity and a willingness to try can leave a lasting impression.
By entering the competition, the Digital Shrikes showed that age is no barrier to excellence. Their participation not only celebrated a love for nature and photography but also marked an important milestone in their journey as confident, curious and creative young learners.
